NIGERIAN DEFENCE ACADEMY DONATES RICE TO ORPHANAGE HOMES
In a heartwarming display of compassion and generosity, the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) today Friday 29 March, 2024 donated bags of rice to orphanage homes in the Kaduna metropolis.
The Commandant NDA Major General JO Ochai, recognizing the importance of supporting and nurturing children in need, took the initiative to organize this charitable gesture.The 3 orphanage homes that were fortunate benefiaries of this donation expressed their profound gratitude to the Commandant and his team.The management of these homes praised the Academy for their noble gesture, as the bags of rice not only provided sustenance but also brought smiles and hope to the children’s faces.
The benefiaries orphanage homes include,Tallafin Marayu Foundation Tudun Wada ,Balsuman Orphanage Home Nassarawa as well as Jamiyyar Matan Arewa Orphanage, Dendo Road Kaduna.
Represented by the Commanding Officer Administration NDA Lieutenant Colonel SA Agada,the Commandant reiterated the importance of giving back to society and acknowledged the immense challenges faced by orphanage homes.He emphasized the need for collective efforts in extending support and care to the less privileged,ensuring that these children feel loved,valued,and included in the society.
This act of charity by NDA serves as a powerful reminder to all Nigerians that we have a collective responsibility to care for the vulnerable members of our society. It is in moments like these that kindness and compassion shine brightly, uniting communities and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Other members of the NDA delegation during the visit to the orphanage homes were Acting Staff Officer Grade One Administration,Lieutenant Commander MA Bukar and Academy Regimental Sergeant Major, Master Warrant Officer M Idris.
