The NDA Authority in 2018 approved the establishment Directorate of Linkages and Collaboration (DLC) in line with global best practices in the academia and NUC requirements. By this singular and constructive move the Directorate was established and now peers its type in the global academic climes to manage Academic, scholarly and intellectual gamut the image of the Africa’s Top Military University to both national and international communities. Within a short span, through DLC, NDA among others has active MoUs with National Defence College (NDC) Abuja, Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) Abuja, Federal Fire Service (FFS) Abuja, Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPB) Bauchi, Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) Abuja, National Metallurgical Development Centre (NMDC) Jos, Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Jos, Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) Kaduna, National Water Resource Institute (NWRI) Kaduna. Others like Defence Research and Development Bureau (DRDB), Space Agency, National University of Public Service (NUPS) Hungary, Sharda University India are on the verge of consummation.
Description and Function of The Directorate
In order to achieve its missions and actualize its vision the Directorate is characterized by suave objectives among which are the following:
- Identifying possible areas for partnerships, linkages and collaboration with both private and public institutions within and outside the country for the overall benefit of the Academy.
- Identifying possible sources of grants for hosting and sponsorship of conferences, workshops, seminars and general training both locally and abroad.
- Projecting a positive image of NDA and the Academy Branch in particular to the global intellectual community in order to attract the desired patronage and recognition.
- Liaising with NDA Centres, Wings, Directorates, Units and Consultancy as the case may be to identity and take forward initiatives that will deliver fund, value capital and synergy.
