Cdr AU Ojih was enlisted into the Nigerian Navy in 2005 and rose to the rank of Commander. He holds various appointments such as Watch Keeping Officer (WKO) Nigerian Navy Ship Ohue; Staff Officer III Stores, Phld Port-Harcourt; Base Logistics Officer Nigerian Naval College, Onne, Port-Harcourt ;Base Logistics Officer Nigerian Navy Ship Victory Calabar; Staff Officer Grade II Technical Store Depot Lagos Logistics Depot Victoria Island Lagos; Staff Officer Grade 2 Petroleum Oil And Lubricants, Naval Headquarters Abuja; Base Logistics Officer, Nigerian Navy Ship PATHFINDER; Assistant Director, Admin Logistics, Nigerian Defence Academy, and many others.
He holds a HND in Marketing from Kaduna Polytechnic with Upper Credit in 2003. He also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Management from University of Calabar. He obtained Masters of Science in Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, from University of Bedfordshire, United Kingdom with a Distinction. He also obtained Masters in International Affairs and Diplomatic Studies from Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Nigeria. Similarly, he attended the famous Nigerian Defence Academy where he obtained Masters in International Affairs and Diplomatic Studies, and PhD in Management (in view).
