PROFILE OF NIGERIAN DEFENCE ACADEMY PROVOST
PROF ISA GARBA B.Eng, M.Eng, PhD, MNSE, FSESN, RE (COREN) was born on the 2nd of May 1968 in Yakasai Quarters Kano Municipal Local Government Area of Kano State. His educational development and growth started from Bagauda Primary school where he obtained his primary education in 1980, and progressed steadily through Secondary School and to the university where he obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1992, a Master of Engineering degree in Energy in 1998 and Doctor of Philosophy in Energy Engineering in 2005.
While in the University system, Prof Isa Garba taught several courses in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervised so many degree projects and postgraduate thesis. He has served in several Committees and held several appointments. He is currently an External Examiner to many universities and has served many across the nation and abroad respectively.
His research expertise are in solar Thermal Systems, Design and Development of Solar Thermal System, Concentrated Solar Thermal System, Solar Water and Air Heating System, Modelling and Simulation of Solar Thermal Systems. The Professor has published so many books and he is a member of the Editorial Board, Mechanical Engineering Journal.
He is happily married and the union is blessed with five children. His hobbies include reading, jogging and indoor games.
