NDA Hospital

The Nigerian Defence Academy Hospital is saddled with the responsibility of providing services in some medical specialties for Cadets, personnel, their families as well as civilians within and outside NDA community. The Hospital is headed by a Commander of the rank of Brigadier General (Consultant) who is responsible to the Commandant. Colonel KO Obanubi is the current Acting Commander and he is responsible for the actualization of the goal of the hospital which is provision of timely and good quality healthcare services at all times in line with standard practice.

The coordination in the various departments of the Hospital is aimed at achieving the following set of objectives.

1. To ensure provision of timely and qualitative health care services to Cadets, personnel and families as well as civilian staff of NDA.
2. To treat every patient with dignity and respect.
3. To adapt to current international standard clinical practice and apply  new development and innovations where necessary.  

The NDA Hospital is a Secondary Healthcare Facility that provides basic preventive and curative health care services to cadets, personnel and civilian staff serving in NDA as well as their families. The medical facility has an estimated 90 bed capacity delivering quality healthcare services such as Emergency care, General Out Patient care, Admissions, Medical Laboratory services, Maternal and Child care services, Theatre and Surgical services, Dental Surgery services, Physiotherapy, Eye services and Radio-diagnostic services.

The hospital operates from two (2) medical facilities located in Ribadu cantonment and the permanent site in Afaka with the following departments:
