KASTLEA CORPS MARSHAL SOLICITS SUPPORT FROM COMMANDANT NDA

The Corps Marshall and Chief Executive Officer, Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Authority (KASTLEA), Major Garba Yahaya Rimi (Rtd) today paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant NDA, Maj Gen IM Yusuf, where he solicited the Commandant’s support in sensitizing staff on the need to obey traffic regulations.

The Corps Marshal who was recieved at the NDA Headquarters, Afaka, noted that the visit was aimed at soliciting assistance from the
Commandant in curbing some challenges confronting the operations of KASTLEA in the state. The Corps Marshall appealed to the Commandant in the area of sensitization of military personnel and civilian staff of the Academy on the need to cooperate with KASTLEA officials while discharging their duties.

In his remarks, the Corps Marshal highlighted the KASTLEA’s two major roles which are Enforcement of traffic rules and regulations and rendering of Social Services to humanity. He also noted that, the agency’s major challenge lies with the area of Enforcement as many motorists disobey traffic rules and regulations.

In his response, the Commandant NDA, congratulated the Corps Marshal on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of KASTLEA. He described Maj Garba Yahaya Rimi (rtd) as a fair and firmed senior colleague whom he worked with at 242 Recce Battalion Badagry, Lagos State. The commandant also commended the efforts of KASTLEA during major Academy events. He also applauded the level of professionalism display by its Marshals in their operations.

Speaking further, the Commandant assured the Corps Marshal of his support, especially in the area of sensitizing military and civilian staff of the Academy on the need to have a valid driving license and abide by traffic rules and regulations.

The highpoint of the visit was signing of visitors’ book, presentation of souvenirs and group photograph.
