HEAD OF CENTRE PROFILE
DR CAROLINE OBIAGELI EMEKA-OGBONNA is the present Head, Centre for Critical Thinking, Teaching and Learning (CCTTL). She is a Senior Lecturer in Department of Languages, and Coordinator of the Research Methodology Office. She holds a Master Degree in Educational Research and PhD in Critical and Entertainment Education from University of Exeter United Kingdom. Prior to these she had obtained a Master Degree in English (Literature) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and BA in Dramatic Arts from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Her scholarly specialization focuses on Critical and Educative Entertainment which is keenly based on the philosophies of Critical Theory. In this regard her academic work spans the areas of Critical Thinking, Critical Emancipatory Education, Entertainment Education for Social and Behaviour Change, Critical approaches to Gender Studies, Critical Security Studies as well as Research Methodologies. She has made scholarly contributions in these areas in both national and international journals and books and has served as Guest Lecturer to various military and non-military institutions. Dr Caroline is an Associate Fellow of UK Higher Education Academy and a Fulbright Visiting Scholar to Kent State University, Ohio USA.
