Dr Onipe Adabenege Yahaya

Dr. Onipe Adabenege Yahaya has several years of cognate experience, contributions to knowledge, and services to humanity in Nigeria and abroad. His academic qualifications include a Doctorate Degree in Accounting and Finance, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance, and Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting at Second Class Upper (2.1) obtained in 2016, 2000, 1997, and 1991, respectively.
Dr. Yahaya is a Fellow of the Institute of Financial and Investment Analysts of Nigeria, where he has served creditably well as Vice President. He was a member of Governing Council and serves as Chair of, Council Committee on Professional Regulation. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria, a Fellow of the Shepherd Institute of Management, a Member of the Institute of Management Consultants, a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), and Member of the European Centre for Research, Training, and Development, UK.
He has over 25 years of cognate teaching experience in the areas of accounting, finance, management accounting, taxation, cost accounting, auditing and investigation, bankruptcy and receivership accounting, advanced partnership accounting, business mathematics, corporate finance, financial management, public finance, international accounting, public sector accounting (government accounting), management case analysis, mathematics of finance, intermediate accounting, advance financial accounting, advance management accounting, advance auditing and investigation, portfolio management, and financial markets, quantitative methods in management, research methods, international business finance, energy accounting, environmental accounting (green accounting), which are all connected to accounting and finance.
He has spent 10 years in the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna. He has been and still teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate courses including management accounting, auditing and investigations, business finance, international finance, and successful research supervisions at M.Sc., MPhil, and Ph.D. levels, which has assisted greatly in the number of journal publications that he has authored and co-authored: foreign (40) and national (43). These publications are readily available on Google Scholar, ResearchGate and AcademiaEdu, and other websites.
Dr. Yahaya is actively engaged in community services, which has provided him with the golden opportunity to be useful to local and international organizations. Currently, he is interrogating the effects of ownership structure, board of directors, and its committees on the dividend policy of Nigeria’s banking sector. The research, which is at an advanced level, has shown to be of interest to a number of scholars who are providing mentoring and analytical support.
