Dr Abraham Evwiekpaefe

Dr Abraham Evwiekpaefe is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 1998 and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science in 2007 both from the University of Benin, Benin City. He received his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science in 2017, also from the same prestigious University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
Dr Evwiekpaefe began his professional career as a Systems Analyst/Programmer II in August 2001 and was later laterally converted to the lecturing cadre in March 2002 as a Graduate Assistant. He rose to the position of a Senior Lecturer in 2018. His area of specialization includes Software Engineering, lT adoption and Data Science.
He is currently the Head of Department from January 2022 till date. He is a member of the Nigerian Computer Society. He is also a member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). He has served in various administrative capacities both in the Nigerian Defence Academy and beyond. He was formerly the Postgraduate Coordinator for all PG programmes in the Department of Computer Science, Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna. Dr Abraham has served in several ad-hoc committees in the Nigerian Defence Academy. He is the Chairman, Seminar and Public Lecture Committee, Faculty of Military Science and Interdisciplinary Studies, Jan 2019 – Date. He is the Postgraduate School External Defence Representative for the Department of Mathematics, Jan 2019 – Jan 2022. He was Postgraduate Representative, Faculty of Military Science and Interdisciplinary Studies, Jan 2019 – Jan 2022. He has supervised over 80 (eighty) BSc cadets (students), seven (7) students for the Master of Science Degree and currently a major supervisor for a doctoral degree student in the Nigerian Defence Academy.
He has attended many conferences, seminars and workshops both at national and international level. He has published over fifty (50) research articles and presented scientific papers at local and International Conferences held within and outside Nigeria.
