I am Dr. ABDULSALAMI, MOHAMMED SANI. I commenced my teaching career as an Assistant Lecturer at the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1991 and rose to the rank of Associate Professor in 2014.
I hold a PhD in Biochemistry with specialization in Nutritional Biochemistry and research interest in food processing, analyses, effects and recently molecular studies in collaborative research. I am involved in teaching, research and community service.
I have 63 publications and all my research works have been published in reputable peer reviewed local and international journals. Most have been presented at conferences and a good number can be found online. I am visible on Google Scholar.
I have participated in committees and management level at the Academy and served as Head of Department of Biological Sciences. I have also served on National assignments as Panelist for Technical Aid Corps (TAC) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, member Adhoc committee of NEMA-NYSC youth Vanguard and member accreditation team of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for over a decade.
I am a member of Professional Bodies like Nigerian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biotechnology Society of Nigeria and Nigerian Institute for Food Science and Technology. My current research focus is on functional foods for better health.
