An entourage from the Nigerian Army Chaplain Services (Roman Catholic), led by the Director Army Chaplaincy (RC), Brigadier General CC Ireogbu, who has been on a spiritual and administrative tour to churches in military formations within the various Divisions of the Nigerian Army, and Army Head Quarter Garrison, has paid a courtesy visit to the former Commandant NDA, Major Gen MT Ibrahim.

Stating the purpose of visit, the Director Chaplain Services, Brigadier General (Very Rev Fr) CC Iroegbu, said his delegation was going round army formations to appreciate officers and men of the Nigerian Armed Forces for their sacrifices towards securing the country from insecurity and insurgency. The Director who also said that their tour round military formations is towards gaining an on the spot assessment and evaluation of the well being and spiritual life of the officers and men of the Armed Forces, further disclosed that they were in NDA to commend the Commandant for the great transformation going on in NDA. Brig Gen Ireogbu also used the visit to urge the Commandant to provide more conducive places of worship in NDA.

The former Commandant, Major General MT Ibrahim, ably represented by the Deputy Commandant, Air Vice Marshal SO Ntukogu, tasked the visiting Director and the Army Chaplains Services to always pray and fast for the armed forces, and to preach more of salvation and the kingdom of God. He indicated that no nation will live in peace without the armed forces and charged them to always educate the society on the good works and sacrifices of the Nigerian Armed Forces, stating that it is their duty to build a good image for the military among their followers and congregants. He assured maximum cooperation and support from the NDA and promised that permanent and more befitting places of worship will be built by the Academy.
