The current and 31st Director of Logistics, Air Commodore
The current and 31st Director of Logistics, Air Commodore YA Katabiya assumed duty on 12 December 2022. He was born on 15 November 1971 and started his school career at Wukari East Primary School. On completion of his primary education, he proceeded for the secondary education at Government Secondary School Wukari and graduated in 1985. Air Commodore Katabiya was enlisted into the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1991 as a member of 43 Regular Combatant Course and was commissioned into the Nigerian Air Force as a Pilot Officer on 21 September 1996. He holds BSc Degree in Biological Sciences and Masters Degrees in Defence Studies and National Security and War Studies. His military decorations and symbols include Distinguished Service Star (DSS), Passed Staff Course Daggar psc(+) and National Security and War Course (nswc). He is also an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria (MCIPSMN).
