JOEL AJIBUA is a Professor of Human Geography. His areas of specialisation and research interest are Population and Development. In this field of specialism he has written and published several impactful papers in international and national journals, participated in over 25 functional research projects, technical papers, and consultancy services as principal investigator and co-lead resource person with many International Development Partners such as UNDP, UNICEF, Macarthur Foundation and nationally with Ministry, Department and Agencies (MDAs) and National Civil Society Actors (NCSAs). He is presently the Head of Geography Department, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Nigerian Defence Academy and Coordinator, Disaster and Risk Management programme in Directorate of Linkages and Collaboration.
